On Friday night, January 12, members of the Scituate American Legion Post 144 assembled at the Mount Hope Improvement
Society building on Clapp Rd for a post Christmas social. We all brought dishes and desserts and had ham, potatoe,
beans, salad, lasagna, sweet potatoe casserole, meatballs and pasta, seafood chowder, and baked Brie.
All this was followed up with desserts.
We had a Yankee swap which was great fun. The gifts were all good and Franny Litchfield drew number one so he got to go last also.
He wanted that book about the US Navy Air base at Chatham and so tradded his nail products with Bob Harkins. Mrs Harkins and
Franny made out in that swap!
